J. Roger Davis, is the author of The Firefly Detective, a  coming of age story about a young boys relentless determination to help his community and family when it mattered most . Set in a mystical small town in the foothills of Southern Appalachian. 

Davis, is also a contributing writer to the Hill District Digital History Project. The Hill District Digital History Project  sharing history and stories about the people, places, and events that have shaped Pittsburgh’s Cultural Hill District.
